Master Contract Ratified!

The 2017-2020 Master Contract between the Okaloosa Education Staff Professionals (OESP) and the School Board of Okaloosa County was ratified by the bargaining unit 783 – 19.   The school board voted to approve the agreement at their April 9, 2018 meeting.

The approved salary increases will be reflected in April paychecks.     Retroactive pay will be provided in a separate paper check.    The retro pay will NOT be direct-deposited to the accounts of those who participate in direct deposit.

 

Voting on Master Contract April 4, 2018

All education staff professionals will be asked to vote to approve the 2017-2020 Master Contract between the school board and OESP on April 4, 2018 at each worksite.   The ratification document below contains the major changes along with the entire proposed Master Contract that also includes grammatical changes.    The proposed salary schedules may also be viewed below.

H&R Block for FEA Members

Sales Tax Holiday Aug 4 – 6

During the 2017 Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday Aug. 4 through Aug. 6, qualifying items will be exempt from tax including: certain school supplies selling for $15 or less per item; clothing, footwear, and certain accessories selling for $60 or less per item; and personal computers and certain computer-related accessories purchased for noncommercial home or personal use selling for $750 or less per item.
